Helping adults across BC cope with anxiety, depression, grief, and the climate crisis
You’re not alone
Many people are struggling to cope in these stressful, painful, and isolating times. The support of a counsellor can help you find a path forward - through the overwhelm, towards resilience.
Kasia Stepien, RCC
Welcome! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor practicing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I provide counselling for stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and climate-related distress. My approach as a counsellor is collaborative and compassionate, and rooted firmly in science/evidence-based practice.
Counselling Services
Climate Distress
Identify and manage the intense emotions that accompany climate awareness (like eco-anxiety, grief, rage, and despair). Find ways to balance rest with sustainable action, in alignment with your values and resources.
Stress, Anxiety, & Overwhelm
Develop skills to identify the stressors in your life and respond to them effectively. Cultivate practices and resources that increase your resilience. Learn to make space for anxiety so that it has less control over your life.
Depression & Low Mood
Receive compassionate support that acknowledges your current reality. Identify what truly matters to you in life. Learn to build small upward spirals of action that will help you regain your energy and vitality.
Grief, Loss, & Life Transitions
Understand the roller coaster of emotions and physical changes that accompany loss and difficult life transitions. Make space to mourn and honour your loss, and move forward with it.
